2022 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament- Midwest Regional

March Madness is coming to Chicago! This event will be perfect for the basketball enthusiast in your family. Northwestern University will host the Road to the Final Four. We know you have been trying to finalize your brackets, so this is the perfect event to preview the Midwest offerings before doing so.

This event takes place in the Chicago Bulls arena, the United Center. We can only imagine the energy in the arena fueling basketball fans from far and near. This event marks the end of the preliminary rounds before moving on to the final four events in New Orleans this April.

Mark March 25-27th, 2022, and head to the United Center to become a spectator and have a great day in the city. Tickets for these events can be found on Ticketmaster.

Ice Skating at Maggie Daley Park

Yes, there are family-friendly activities to do in Chicago that will make your visit worthwhile. As spring starts, the Maggie Daley rinks will be teeming with life. This year's event has a Van Gogh-inspired theme that blends with the scenic backdrop of Chicago's skyline.

Bring your kids along and teach them how to skate. If you don’t have skate gear, you can rent it out at rates varying from $10-$20. Remember to carry some ribbons with Van Gogh’s flower illustrations for the ultimate blending in with the skaters.

Give your kids the deserved spring break by engaging them in ice skating. Who knows, they may be the next Sonja Henie.

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Winnipeg Jets

Do you have a hockey fan in the family? Sunday, March 20th, the Chicago Blackhawks will be taking on the Winnipeg Jets at the United Center. This sounds like the perfect event to grab that Toews or Esposito Jersey and see your favorite team players battle it out on the ice. Chicago residents are notorious for supporting the home team, so you can expect droves of fans to show up and support.

Canadians may take their hockey seriously, but so does Chicago. Grab some tickets, then grab some food from the concession before heading to your seats to catch the event.

Chicago Baseball Events

Let’s reminisce the glory days of Ernie Banks and Ryne Sandberg. Some of the greatest baseball players already inducted into the Hall of Fame hail from Chicago. The home of the Chicago Cubs, Wrigley's Field will be the venue for the upcoming spring break training and a game at the end of the month.

The spring break games start from March 1st and run through to the 29th. Baseball events attract much fanfare that will be wonderful to indulge in with your kids. Alternatively, you can have an indoor tour to take pictures with trophies and pitch a ball or two.

You can foray into the field after the game for the ultimate feeling. Quick Tip: Support Chicago Cubs.
